About the Position: This position is located in El Paso, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Support the dental clinic by performing a variety of supply duties relating to the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, replenishment of standard medical and non-medical supplies. Coordinate with installation maintenance and property management personnel for proper procedures and disposition. Operate office automation equipment and computer terminals to input and retrieve data. Determine trends for technical supply requirements for various clinics to forecast future and current stock requirements. Forecast stock levels and supply flow to compare to usage rates, delivery time, current demand, items on hand, and cost. Research potential errors in records and reports and initiate action to reconcile or correct errors.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Moderate to heavy lifting up to 25 pounds is required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes taking supply inventory and/or editing supply requisitions; and ordering supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60.
