Duties

You will serve as Business and Financial Manager (BFM) under the direction of senior analysts supporting the Airborne Instrumentation Systems Department (AISD) within the Range Ops Branch. You will be responsible for assisting in a variety of financial and administrative functions. You will perform all administrative transactions associated to resource management utilizing various systems and tools. You will process all Requests for Personnel Actions (RPA) timely and accurately. You will provide analysis and support to auditing activities such as documentation retention, substantive control testing, and business process improvement.

• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ensures that internal spend plans are updated regularly to accurately correspond with budget execution submissions and updates that are submitted to the sponsor. Documents obligations, expenditures and/or recovery of other program requirements to ensure information is properly tracked. Assist in all financial & contractual actions and ensure they are within current fiscal year budget execution spend plan and acquisition strategy. GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assists in preparing and submitting budgets for Airborne Instrumentation Systems Department to the competency lead Business and Financial Manager in accordance with applicable customer and Comptroller guidance. Assists in providing advice to help ensure that funds are expended in compliance with financial regulations & policies. Assist in all financial & contractual actions and ensure they are within current fiscal year budget execution spend plan and acquisition strategy.
