Advise on policy, financial, business, personnel, and other museum specific matters related to operations and administrative functions, for both internal and external programs, and routinely dialogs with other museums and federal entities.
Responsible for HR and Manpower, to include hiring actions, MCRs (Manpower Change Requests), training requests, rating scheme updates, awards oversight, and telework tracking.
Exercise technical expertise for museum procurement contract actions with technical and managerial knowledge of museum-specific management software.
Responsible for the overall Risk Management Internal Control (RMIC) program including the Risk Register assessment, and, and the preparation of the Annual Assurance Statement.
Oversee the construction or renewal of all internal and external collaborations and agreements between National Museum of Health and Medicine (NMHM) and other government and non-government activities, agencies, and services for basic operations.
Responsible for developing and managing the NMHM strategic action plan, including data input, budgeting, and resource management in the museum specific operational environment.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

Basic Requirements for Management and Program Analyst GS-0343-14:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: assisting in the planning and execution of Museum-specific operations; aiding in the development of business programs; and certifying the implementation of Risk Management Internal Controls. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13)
