About the Position: This position is located at Silver Spring, Maryland. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Advise on policy, financial, business, personnel, and other museum specific matters related to operations and administrative functions, for both internal and external programs, and routinely dialogs with other museums and federal entities. Responsible for HR and Manpower, to include hiring actions, MCRs (Manpower Change Requests), training requests, rating scheme updates, awards oversight, and telework tracking. Exercise technical expertise for museum procurement contract actions with technical and managerial knowledge of museum-specific management software. Responsible for the overall Risk Management Internal Control (RMIC) program including the Risk Register assessment, and, and the preparation of the Annual Assurance Statement. Oversee the construction or renewal of all internal and external collaborations and agreements between National Museum of Health and Medicine (NMHM) and other government and non-government activities, agencies, and services for basic operations. Responsible for developing and managing the NMHM strategic action plan, including data input, budgeting, and resource management in the museum specific operational environment.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13) Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementOrganizational DevelopmentStrategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
