The primary purpose of this position is to The primary purpose of this position is to manage the administrative and personnel program processes of the organization and serve as liaison with the manpower/personnel offices.
Duties
Manage execution of Publications and Forms Program and all By-Law Programs.
Perform work regarding planning and organizing all administrative activities and processes for the organization.
Provides personnel support services. Serves as the organizational point of contact and liaison with the personnel office.
Manage, prepare, and maintain documentation concerning the administrative orders program.
Monitor and direct the control of incoming and outgoing correspondence. Integrate a variety of software to produce final products.

- Travel and relocation expenses will not be paid

- Typing and computer operation requires a qualified typist. Must be a qualified typist of at least 40 words per minute.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
- A moderate amount of walking and standing is required when attending meetings and conferences, and in visiting other offices and buildings.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in federal service which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of Administrative Support Assistant (OA) position. Specialized experience is experience which may have been gained while assisting in managing administrative processes, policies, and procedures, including office records and files, preparing correspondence, time keeping, and collaborating with personnel offices to monitor and resolve personnel actions.

EDUCATION: Successful completion of one full year of graduate education in a field related to the position being filled. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT COPIES OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS

You must be a qualified typist of at least 40 words per minute.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of common clerical practices and office routines, grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation, and clerical procedures to arrange a variety of material from different sources.
Skill in integrating a variety of types of software to generate products for a single purpose and assessing personnel resource requirements.
Knowledge of personnel documentation and reporting procedures, and Knowledge of official orders preparation instructions and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy.
Knowledge of processes used in the ordering and distribution of forms, and administrative and personnel processes.
Knowledge of time keeping programs, procedures, and instructions.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
