This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Information Technology Management (INFOSEC) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This vacancy is for 8 IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) positions located at Fort Huachuca, AZ with Temporary Change of Station to Korea.
These positions are Term appointments Not To Exceed 30 months. Positions may or may not be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
Serve as a senior Cyber Security Engineer and/or Cyber Security Certification Sin in accordance with the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other statutory and regulatory requirements.
Conduct detailed analysis of security requirements for new systems or modifications to existing systems.
Recommend and document the total spectrum of security requirements from Federal, DoD, and DA regulatory guidance, higher-level policies, and system unique concerns.
Use automated tools as well as manual procedures to determine potential vulnerabilities to automated systems caused by technical, policy, or procedural shortfalls.
Represent the command at DA, MACOM, Installation, or PEO level meetings.
Provide technical expertise in the area of Cyber Security.
Monitor contractors' performance of some or all of the above duties, either as a contracting officer representative (COR) duly designated by the contracting officer or as tasked by the COR as required.
Support large scale traffic migrations for user side circuits/equipment via on-site data collection, as well as planning and implementing the traffic migrations as defined in MOPs and engineering packages.
Perform Network discovery, circuit audit activities including CO and site evaluations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires Temporary duty (TDY) travel of up to 50% of the time within and outside of the Continental United States (CONUS).
- Secret security clearance required
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Information Technology Practitioner Certification within 60 months.
- One year Trial period may be required.
- There is no entitlement to be placed in any other position when this term appointment expires. There is no recourse for employees who are not extended. Term Hires must sign a Term Statement of Understanding.

Basic Requirements IT Specialist GS-2210-13- IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below, based on the grade-level required, at this position being filled.

Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing thorough and accurate work independently, even in the most difficult or stressful situations; occasionally reviewing work completed by others. 2.Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3.Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4.Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Specialized Experience- One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves;1) Evaluating the application of advanced systems or techniques ;AND 2) Managing the installation, integration and/or optimization of servers, systems and/or storage area networks; AND 3) Recommending changes to meet evolving Cybersecurity requirements as they apply to existing systems and servers.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
