The Office of the Inspector General is one of the best places to work in the Department of Justice and is one of the premier inspector general offices in federal government. The Investigations Division (INV) investigates alleged criminal violations and misconduct that govern DOJ employees, operations, grantees, and contractors. Annually INV receives more than 13,000 complaints, opens approximately 250 investigations, and makes an average of over 90 arrests.
Duties
If you are selected as an Program Analysis Officer, your responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to:
Serves as the Director of the Administrative Support Branch in the Investigations Division. Responsibilities include service as a principal advisor to the AIG and/or DAIG on matters relating to efficiency and effectiveness of the Division's administrative programs and operations. Specifically, the incumbent is responsible for formulating, developing, and implementing polices governing Division personnel, budget, procurement, property management, etc.
Plans and directs the work of staff ensuring that overall needs of the Investigations Division are met. Is responsible for the Division's budget; develops spring planning call.
Directs and ensures the delivery of administrative support the Divisions 17 field locations and remote employees. This includes oversight of office space needs and procurement of equipment, supplies, and services.
Develops long and short range divisional operational, management and administrative plans that reflect OIG policy and activities of other federal OIG offices.
Coordinates and develops executive summary reports. Is responsible for program analysis and evaluation that ensures the effectiveness of law enforcement programs and the most effective use of resources.
Requirements

Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the GS-14/15 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level obtained in the public sector. (Specialized experience is paid or unpaid experience which has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.)
