You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Special Assistants, Command Suite of NMRTC PORTSMOUTH VA.

Duties

You will be responsible for conducting financial audits and internal reviews. You will assesses management controls to resolve cases of fraud, waste, misuse or mismanagement You will be responsible for planning, conducting, evaluating and reporting of results of audits, internal reviews, studies, analyses, investigations of financial operations. You will use command resources to detect deficiencies, improprieties, and inefficiencies. You will use financial programs such as Standardized Accounting and Reporting System - Field Level (STARS-FL), Standard Labor Data Collection and Distribution Application (SLDCADA). You will provides recommendations to correct conditions that adversely impact on financial management, mission accomplishment, economy, efficiency. You will designs review plans covering both financial and operating program areas where there is a high probability of significant findings.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized Experience. Examples of Qualifying Experience: Experience conducting inspections, audits, or internal reviews. Experiencing determining compliance with laws, instructions, or regulations. Experience documenting inspections, audits or internal reviews findings and recommendations in a written report. Experience briefing senior level officials. Experience using quantitative and qualitative techniques to analyze data and identify trends. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

OR

Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.

AND OR

Combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
