This position is in the U.S. Department of Transportation, Office of the Secretary (OST), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration (M), Office of Security (OS), Personnel Security Division (PSD), ID Media and Quality Assurance Branch (IDMQA). The employee works under the guidance of the Associate Director, Personnel Security in providing Background Investigation processing and adjudicative support to the DOT Operating Administrations.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the selective factor AND specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: You must obtain a FAC-COR Level II Certification.
Applicants who do not meet the selective placement factors will be ineligible for further consideration. If you meet them then you will be rated and ranked based on the following specialized experience.
To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include:
Experience in managing technical security programs responsible for validating background investigations and adjudicative support such as ID Media and Quality Assurance.
Experience developing, planning, and executing security policies affecting security operational programs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Technical Competence - Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues.
