The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the technical expert for multiple specialized information protection and security programs supporting major DoD, USAF, other Federal Agencies and Foreign Government Research, Development, Test and Evaluation classified and highly sensitive acquisition and intelligence programs.
Duties
Administers the Information Security program for the organization. Administers policies/implements procedures for the classification/protection of classified national defense and other sensitive info, originated/controlled by the organization.
Administers the Industrial Security program. Provides technical guidance in development of program/project/activity requirement in conjunction w/Contracting Officers, ensuring all solicitations/contracts include appropriate security clauses/language.
Administers the Personnel Security Program. Administers DoD, USAF, and MAJCOM policies and implements procedures for managing the Personnel Security Program.
Provides organization OPSEC guidance. Establishes policies and procedures for accomplishment of OPSEC activities.
Implements and administers the Physical Security Program. Implements DOD, USAF, and MAJCOM policies and develops local procedures for assigned facilities.
Represents organization with DoD, USAF, HQ AFMC and various Center organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with these
organizations.

- Selectee is expected to be granted with and/or maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the position.

- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
- Recruitment, retention, and relocation incentives may be authorized by the organization.
- The employee may be required to travel on military/commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Work may occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal duty business hours.
- DOD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification, Security Program Integration Professional Certification, and Special Program Security Certification conferrals are required w/in 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment.

2. Knowledge of security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in
establishing and operating internal security programs.
3. Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the installation and supported organizations.
4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
