The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) expands the provision of patient care beyond
institutional settings, such as the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital, by utilizing
innovative telecommunication technologies to enhance care coordination and to proactively
manage chronic pain to prevent healthcare crises.
Duties
Primary duties include (but are not limited to):
Serves as the point of contact for administrative support and clerical support to support management and coordination of Primary Care Nursing (Home Telehealth) staff and programs.
Responsible for ensuring accurate data collection, developing monthly reports and meeting deadlines.
Knowledge of office operations and software programs such as word processing programs, Outlook, VISTA, Excel, Power Point, CPRS, VistA, Microsoft Teams, and web based application and tracking programs.
Maintains a suspense/tracking database to ensure that all timed correspondence is action upon within the prescribed limits.
Tracks service policies and Memoranda to proactively update prior to suspense dates.
Serves as primary point of contact for patients, and medical center staff including PACT team members, VISN staff, community agencies, vendors, and others who contact the office for information, questions, and issues needing resolution.
Maintain inventor of total equipment costs, and completing/compiling reports pertaining to these costs to the local and/or VISN office as requested.
Assist in monitoring the budget for the Home Telehealth program and equipment, as well as, compiling and submitting various budget reports to local offices as requested.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/29/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Physical Requirements: The work is partly sedentary, but walking to all parts of the work location or \.1edical Center is required since the incumbent will be working with a variety of clinical and administrative services.
