Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) organizational goal is to Accelerate Warfighter Readiness through Training Solutions. This DA-340-05 Program Manager position for Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) Advanced Programs is located at Patuxent River, MD and will support the Naval Aviation Training Systems Program Office (PMA205).
Duties
You will be responsible for preparing and briefing cost, schedule and performance status, risks and issues at periodic Program Management Reviews.
You will be responsible for directing a team of geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary professional team members (civilian, military, and contractors) within a Competency Aligned Organization framework.
You will be responsible for overall management, direction and control of the acquisition, development, integration, testing, production, fielding, and life cycle support of Maritime Training Systems.
You will be responsible for developing the program roadmap, budget formulation, risk management, contracts management, logistics support, operations and maintenance and in-service engineering of the Maritime Aviation Training Systems Program.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Leading an Integrated Program Team (IPT) in providing program management and risk management support for training systems; 2) Planning, directing, and evaluating acquisition, management, technical development, and financial control for a training systems program in terms of risks, performance, schedule and cost; 3) Planning for and synthesizing requirements of competency areas such as engineering, logistics, budget, contracts, configuration management, and other functional specialties into integrated strategies to support a training systems acquisition program; and/or 4) Monitoring progress, planning engagements and revising program planning to meet changing conditions for a training systems program.
