You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the JUDGE ADVOCATE DIVISION (JAD), OFFICE OF CHIEF TRIAL COUNSEL (CTC) of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will provide expert direction, assistance, and support for all operations and activities for the organization, which include administrative/personnel issues or actions affecting the organization and human resource management. You will provide direct oversight to the region's installation administrative officers including providing technical guidance on the implementation of Headquarters and Regional level policy to ensure consistency across the force. You will manage duties related to office administration, military and civilian personnel administration and management, fiscal/financial management, logistics, contracting, and general IT support to all personnel. You will direct and coordinate all administrative functions ensuring the organizations complies with all applicable administrative policies and procedures. You will develop, implement, and oversee administrative and technical processes with the organizational workflow. You will serve as an advisor in the areas of organization management, including general administration, personnel management, document control, policy memoranda, records management, logistics, and internal financial management.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
  • Travel may be required up to 10% of the time
  • Telework (limited) may be authorized for this position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: executing the full range of general administrative, fiscal, personnel management, document control, policy memoranda, records management, contracting liaison, and travel administration.
