You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the Defense Services Organization office of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will accept and implement headquarters guidance and directives, including technical guidance on the implementation of Regional and HPQ-level policy to ensure consistency across the organization.
You will provide direction, assistance, and support for all operations and activities under the authority of the Regional Defense Counsel to include administrative/personnel issues.
You will manage duties related to office administration, military, and civilian personnel administration and management. general IT support, fiscal/financial management, and logistics.
You will oversee administrative programs and formulate the development/implementation of general administrative procedures and policy using platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint.
You will conduct management studies focused on improving management methods and procedures.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing administrative support (i.e., preparing correspondence, instructions, policy and procedures); implementing policy for personnel management; establishing internal budgets and tracking obligations, and coordinating travel and purchase card programs for an organization.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Possession of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree,
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Possession of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
