You will serve as an ADMINSTRATIVE OFFICER within the Office of the Judge Advocate General (OJAG). This position is located in the Disability Evaluation System Counsel Program (DESCP).
This position is a local remote approved position. This is a Term appointment which may be extended up to 8 years and noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions.
Duties
You will serve as serve as the DESCP Administrative Department Head and principal assistant of the Program Manager focused on administrative operations that ensure compliance with guidelines and requirements.
You will exercise delegated managerial authority to set annual, multiyear, or similar types of long-range plans and schedules for in-service or contracted work for all personnel in the Administrative Department.
You will be responsible for developing, analyzing, planning, controlling, performing, and managing a wide variety of management, oversight, and administrative functions in support of the DESCP and OJAG.
You will develop comprehensive plans and strategies for the internal and external integration of day-to-day and long range projects, actions, and activities requiring involvement of the front office.
You will exercise responsibility for continued operation of administrative functions, while serving as central point of contact on all administrative matters.
You will oversee and/or manage a wide variety of programs involved with security, travel, personnel, safety, and other matters.
You will supervise both civilian and military personnel and be responsible for the full range supervisory duties.
You will provide technical direction, endorse leave requests, determine training requirements, assign work, establish priorities, provide guidance on projects, review completed work product for accuracy, and evaluate performance.
You serve as the records and information program manager.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public using knowledge and understanding of management principles, practices, methods and techniques, and skill in integrating management services with the general management of an organization and performing the following:
1) Organizing work, setting priorities, and determining resource requirements; short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinating with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; and monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes.
2) Developing, analyzing, planning, controlling, performing, and managing a wide variety of management, oversight, and administrative functions and ensuring compliance with guidelines and requirements.
3) Overseeing and/or managing a wide variety of programs involved with security, travel, personnel, safety, and other matters.
4) Developing plans and strategies for the internal and/or external integration of day-to-day and/or long range projects, actions in activities requiring involvement of a front office.
5) Providing technical direction, assisting in determining training requirements, assigning work, establishing priorities, providing guidance on projects, reviewing completed work product for accuracy, and assisting in evaluating performance.
6) Using analytical methods and techniques to assess program development or execution, improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency, and/or evaluating the effectiveness of line operations or the productivity and efficiency of the management activities.
