About the Position: The position is located at Logistics Readiness Center-Miami, which is dedicated to providing Service members and their families a high quality of life and ensuring good stewardship in our host community. Duties
Serves as Director of Logistics and principal advisor to the Garrison Manager and other installation management officials on all aspects of logistics for a small single-mission garrison.
Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates a logistics program, including some or all of the following services: supply and services, food service, maintenance, transportation and logistics plans and operations.
Serves as the Garrison's senior specialist, advisor, and representative on logistics matters.
Serves on various committees as the installation representative for logistics programs at headquarters IMA and the Regions, and with representatives of other agencies.
Performs the full range of personnel management duties to include planning workload, establishing priorities, and supervision.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning, coordinating, or evaluating logistical actions; supervising personnel; providing technical guidance regarding logistics management policies and procedures; and conducting analysis of logistics programs or operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-11).
