The Connected Health Technician serves as facility champion, leads facility teams to support existing and future Veteran communication initiatives,and coordinates local implementation, training, communications, outreach of these modalities. In the absence of the Connected Health Coordinator, a Connected Health Technician can assume these responsibilities.
Duties
Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
Establishes, develops, and implements, at the direction or in conjunction with the Connected Health Coordinator, local My HealtheVet-related goals, strategies to meet goals, identifies responsible parties, tracks progress, including monitoring goals/activity status, and assists in the development of reports status/progress to medical center management.
Ensures accountability via written communication as it relates to MHV as each of these communication skills contributes importantly to the way VHA communicates with Veterans, Congress, our dedicated volunteers, the public and employees. Identifies problems and applying analytical techniques for the purpose of resolving issues.
Assists the Connected Health Coordinator to lead the facility's efforts to integrate My HealtheVet and Secure Messaging among healthcare providers and patients.
Manages multiple projects by planning and organizing activities for all Connected Health modalities. Proposes, develops, and implements strategic plans and objectives for the enhancement, maintenance, and future advancement of operations for the Connected Health program.
Assists the Connected Health Coordinator in developing presentations and then deliver presentations to all levels of the VAMC/HCS, service organizations, and veterans, family members and caregivers. Presentations are designed to inform the audience about all Connected Health offerings: MHV Program, products, and capabilities, VA Apps and Annie Self Management program.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: performing a variety of administrative duties (such as timekeeping, maintaining calendars, coordinating travel); collecting data to develop information to be presented or included in reports; utilizing various software systems to input data; and analyzing clinical, financial, and/or personnel data to prepare regular reports. Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary, but may require periods of standing during presentations, briefings, speeches, health fair activities, etc., although some slight physical effort may be required.
