About the Position: Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist assigned to the AMCOM Logistics Center (ALC) Aviation Directorate Utility.
Duties
Provision parts for a complex weapons system.
Review publications to ensure adequate parts coverage.
Review technical logistics data documentation such as publication change requests, equipment publication, Statements of Work, and publication contract status.
Participate in logistics related Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Ensure quality sustainment of weapon systems, sub-systems, or programs.
Develop Statements of Work in support of the overall publications effort for assigned systems.
Create technical documentation of requirements for the ILS programs for assigned equipment systems.
Support publication validations/verifications for new equipment/components.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Obtain Acquisition certification, Foundational, Life Cycle Logistics, within 3 years of job entry.
- Perform Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the development of technical publications/manuals for a weapons system and provisioning spare/repair parts for a weapons system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
