Duties
You will analyze information technology (IT) security components to determine vulnerabilities in systems and equipment.
You will evaluate information technology (IT) configurations to determine necessary enhancements, upgrades, or modifications.
You will allocate information technology (IT) project resources (e.g., equipment, hardware, software) to meet IT requirements.
You will configure network assets (e.g., routers, switches, hubs, firewalls, peripherals, hardware, software, or similar assets) to maintain an organization's information technology (IT) infrastructure.
You will manage operating systems patches, upgrades, and releases to improve existing systems.
You will brief managers on the use of funds to support acquisitions for an organization's information technology (IT) program.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 441 within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying Network administration and Network engineering theories, concepts and methods sufficient to evaluate and verify impacts on the current and planned IT architecture; 2) Utilizing technical skills including detailed understanding of diverse complex network equipment and routing protocols; 3) Applying methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving IT systems sufficient to provide advice and assistance to customers; troubleshoots complex problems; and provides support in a manner that minimizes interruptions in customer's ability to carry out critical mission services; 4) Ensuring compliance with command policy; DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT) to identify, implement, assess, and manage cybersecurity capabilities and services; 5) Applying project management principles in relation to management information systems, system acquisition requirement validation, and strategic life cycle planning.
