This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: You will function as a Supervisory Realty Specialist, Planning and Control Branch, performing work on established procedures and policies issued by higher authority. Completed work is reviewed to determine that requirements met and adhere to established standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties
Plan and organize broad phases and determines general policies, technical requirements and methods of accomplishing branch missions
Review work performed within the Branch and concentrates on controversial, complex matters which may or may not conform with existing policies and procedures.
Establish/communicate overall operating policies, including establishing broad limits for completion of branch functions.
Participate and is actively involved in project scope, time, cost and quality issues to meet customer/partner expectations.
Provide oversight of the cartographic support to acquisition, management, and disposal of real property.
Provide oversight of the appraisal program to support Real Estate Division and other customers.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year Supervisory probationary period may be required.
- Completed work is reviewed to determine that requirements met and adhere to established standards, policies, and procedures. This position supervises employees in the Realty Specialist, Cartographic, Appraisal and Accounting series.

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing and administering the Real Estate Planning and Control Programs, and Real Property Appraisal activities; initiating, planning, directing, coordinating and executing programs that control Real Estate operations; developing and scheduling of overall real estate administration programs, budget planning including execution, review and analysis thereof, establishment of funding programs and control of funds and analysis of cost. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)
