The purpose of this position is to conduct quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary stocking, order-writing, custodial, receiving, holding and/or other contracted services performed in a commissary.

Duties

Conducts quality assurance inspections and contractor surveillance. Provides comments and recommendations for additions, deletions, or changes to contractor services to ensure compliance with DeCA directives. Approves or rejects contractor's work schedule and checks work for quality and timeliness. Maintains the store's space allocations program by such duties as designating to the contractor proper item shelf locations when shelf tags are missing or otherwise not identifiable. Advises commissary or contracted order writers. Acts as the commissary manager's representative during the night time hours to ensure government property is secure. Qualifications

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. Experience: One (1) year of demonstrated knowledge of retail procurement and distribution methods; principles, procedures, and techniques of retail food merchandising and retail food store management; and developments in commercial retail food store items, equipment, and practices (specialized experience) equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military. Applying retail grocery store administration policies and procedures as they relate to established contracts. Monitoring vendors and/or contractors in a retail setting to ensure proper inventory. Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date: Physical requirements: (1) Stand, stoop, kneel, bend and climb for prolonged periods. (2) Lift, push, pull, carry, and handle items weighing up to 40 pounds independently and occasionally over 40 pounds with assistance.
