About the Position: This position is located at US ARMY SPACE & MSL DEF- CMD/CENTER of EXCELLENCE SMDBL OPERATIONS DIVISION- COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO.

Duties

Serve as a Supervisory Business Analyst, responsible for planning, directing, and reviewing the efforts of a staff engaged in the USAMDC , procurement and contract management activities Manage a staff of analysts, management and administrative personnel on all phases of business operations and contract planning and execution with the contract specialist/contracting officer. Evaluate the work performance quality of subordinates and advises, counsels or instructs subordinate employees on work, training, career development and administrative matters Perform in-depth research of procedures, policy, and regulations to provide senior level technical advice to management and project/program managers. Establish and maintain controls to ensure that business operations, acquisition and contract actions are accomplished according to established guidelines and timelines.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • This position requires submission of Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
  • This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Must be able to complete Contracting Officer Representative training within 21 days of Type A COR designation or within 35 days of Type B or C COR designation.
  • Position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This is a drug testing designated position under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program. Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) Unless specifically waived. Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position( Foundational). Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.
