This position is located in the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and provides information technology leadership and services.

Duties
Ensures an enterprise approach is taken in defining architecture and relevant IT strategies that enables the CIO organization (CIOO) to become more agile, innovative and responsive to business needs.
Identifies material gaps between the current and target architecture and works collectively with management and staff to develop plans and investment cases designed to accelerate transition to target architecture state and simplify the technology landscape. Supports the integration of architectures (IT and security) into a holistic view of the enterprise target architecture.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-14 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience defined as developing and implementing an enterprise program that resulted in the modernization or consolidation of architectures, platforms, systems, or applications and migration to cloud environments to deliver Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) services across an agency or organization.

Oral and Written Communication - This skill is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant serves on panels, committees, or task forces as a representative for the organization on technical or professional issues.
Problem Solving - This skill is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant monitors current trends or events (for example, technological, economic, political, social, educational, or employment trends or events) and applies the information as appropriate.
