This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Deputy Commandant for Mission Support, Assistant Commandant for Engineering & Logistics (CG-4), Office of Civil Engineering (CG-43), Facilities OPS and Support Division (CG-435), Washington, DC.
Duties
You will serve as the Division Chief for the Facilities Operations and Support Division and provide oversight of the entire Coast Guard (CG) Shore Plant valued at approximately $24B. In addition, you will provide direct technical and administrative supervision of 5 personnel (4 civilians and 1 military). Additionally, you will provide programmatic guidance to the Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC) organization in the areas of Facilities Operation Services, Housing, Corporate Facilities Service Support Contracts, Facilities Levels of Services, Shore Energy and Resilience, and Advanced Metering.

Qualifications
To be considered at the GS-15 level: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes managing a maintenance program for a large facility to include planning maintenance activities, and developing preventive maintenance programs; conducting surveillance activities over construction and maintenance operations performed by a variety of private contractors, including reviewing project plans and specifications for workability, informing contractors of construction and reporting requirements and supervising operations for conformance with project plans; performing maintenance or construction work, including estimating material and labor costs for a variety of construction or maintenance projects; developing performance outcomes based program measures & metrics for a shore portfolio that facilitates assessment of program outcomes & allocation of resources.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to the line of work.
