Duties

As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the NH-0346-2 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Perform multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating and executing the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) goals and mission. Assist the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) organizations within MDA on matters related to the execution of Total Package Approach to Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs) for current and future FMS Cases. Correlate objectives with Program plans to assure that the required logistics support is provided at the right time. Coordinate and execute logistics support in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and FMS policies. Manage and execute logistics duties as part of the FMS logistics Team to support the development of training, transportation, supply support, contractors logistic support and spares provisioning requirements of the FMS Cases. Coordinate with Military Departments (MILDEPs) and International Logistics Control Offices (ILCOs) to facilitate the execution of MDA FMS programs. Develop and conduct briefings to MDA and Leadership on logistical execution in support FMS programs.

Requirements

  • Must obtain mandatory Back to Basics (B2B) certification within 36 months of entry into position.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the NH-02 level if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-01/GS-04 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) policies, procedures, and regulations. Experience in all functions of Program Management, Acquisition Logistics, Material Management, Supply, and Transportation as it relates to Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Experience applying logistics processes, policies, procedures, and practices necessary to develop and assess technical and economic feasibility, including cost, schedule and performance. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
