The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is recruiting an executive leader in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) National Risk Management Center (NRMC) to support the timely, actionable, and integrated analysis enabling CISA and the broader critical infrastructure community to drive secure and resilient critical infrastructure. This position is in the DHS Cybersecurity Service.
Duties
As the Associate Director for the National Risk Management Center's Analytic Capabilities, you will oversee programs and branches responsible for providing a comprehensive array of capabilities upon which CISA analyzes, manages, and reduces risks to critical infrastructure.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen or national.
- You must be 18 years of age.
- Must be registered for the Selective Service (if you are a male).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Security clearance levels may vary
- Must be able to submit to a drug test and receive a negative result.
- Must be able to comply with ethics and standards of conduct requirements, including completing any applicable financial disclosure.
- May be required to serve a 3 year probationary period.
- Remote work may be available for some positions.
Qualifications
These roles comprise the senior leadership team in either CISA's NRMC and are responsible for building and leading large technical teams in accordance with CISA's Core Values and Core Principles. Cybersecurity Executives and Senior Cybersecurity Executives generally have 15 + years of cybersecurity work experience and 5+ years of leadership experience and are either:
Capable of serving as an executive-level cybersecurity manager who serves as a Component senior functional authority--or DHS-wide leader--and oversees multiple, highly visible Component or DHS cybersecurity programs; or
Capable of serving as a seasoned cybersecurity executive who serves as a DHS-wide cybersecurity leader overseeing expansive, national cybersecurity programs, and multiple multi-level organizations as direct reports to presidential appointees

DESIRED TOOLS/INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:
A comprehensive understanding of the cyber threat landscape, emerging cyber issues and technical solutions, supply chain risks, and challenges faced by governmental and private industry partners
Experience as a thought leader in evolving cyber defense capabilities to rapidly address changes in the threat and technology landscape
Demonstrated ability to effectively represent the organization in complex deliberations with senior officials from all branches and levels of government and with private sector executives, including owners and operators of critical infrastructure
Education
Degrees are not required for jobs in the DHS Cybersecurity Service, but DHS is interested in your level of education and the topics you studied. As you submit initial application information, you will be asked questions about your education.
