The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is recruiting professionals to support a range of executive and senior executive roles across the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), including Associate Director, Deputy Associate Director, Technical Director, Deputy Executive Assistant Director, and Chief Information Officer. Duties

As America's cyber defense agency, CISA leads the national effort to understand, manage, and reduce risk to our nation's critical infrastructure. As an Executive or Senior Executive in CISA's Cybersecurity Division (CSD) or Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), you will lead a large team or office to address the Nation's most significant cyber threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring implementation of programs to support CISA-wide missions and activities.

Requirements

• You must be a U.S. Citizen or national.
• You must be 18 years of age.
• Must be registered for the Selective Service (if you are a male).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Security clearance levels may vary.
• Must be able to submit to a drug test and receive a negative result.
• Must be able to comply with ethics and standards of conduct requirements, including completing any applicable financial disclosure.
• May be required to serve a 3 year probationary period.
• Remote work may be available for some positions.

Qualifications

These roles comprise the senior leadership team in either CISA's CSD or OCIO and are responsible for building and leading large technical teams in accordance with CISA's Core Values and Core Principles. Cybersecurity Executives and Senior Cybersecurity Executives generally have 15 + years of cybersecurity work experience and 5+ years of leadership experience and are either: Capable of serving as an executive-level cybersecurity manager who serves as a Component senior functional authority--or DHS-wide leader--and oversees multiple, highly visible Component or DHS cybersecurity programs; or Capable of serving as a seasoned cybersecurity executive who serves as a DHS-wide cybersecurity leader overseeing expansive, national cybersecurity programs, and multiple multi-level organizations as direct reports to presidential appointees Applicants for this position should possess at least two of the following: A comprehensive understanding of the cyber threat landscape, emerging cyber issues and technical solutions, supply chain risks, and challenges faced by governmental and private industry partners. Experience as a thought leader in evolving cyber defense capabilities to rapidly address changes in the threat and technology landscape. A demonstrated ability to effectively represent the organization in complex deliberations with senior officials from all branches and levels of government and with private sector executives, including owners and operators of critical infrastructure.
