About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center (USAASC).
Duties
Studies and interprets directives, regulations, and policies of higher echelon and policies, and all USAASC resources to ensure that all problems are anticipated and considered in the development of security protocols
Oversees the day-to-day execution of security operations and functions within Headquarters, USAASC and associated Direct Reporting Units (DRU).
Supports the development, coordination, and executions of the DRU Security and Protection Enterprise (Personnel Security, Information Security, Special Security Programs, Industrial Security, Intelligence) for Headquarters, USAAS.
Serves as the principal Security advisor to the G2 Division Chief, US Army Acquisition Support Center (USAASC), and serves as the senior staff officer on all Security policy matters.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Position is designated as "Key" to ensure continuation of mission essential functions (MEFs) duringa wide-range of emergencies. Employees in "Key" positions must be exempted from recall to activeduty because of Reserve or retired military obligation.
- Continuity of Operations Program (COOP)responsibilities may require duty during national emergency, local emergency, normal operations,and inclement weather closings.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 30% of the time.
- Requires the ability to work non-standard work hours.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience developing and executing a security program in at least two of the following intelligence security disciplines: Personnel Security, Information Security, Special Security Program, Industrial Security; AND managing a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Program and facilities.

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
