Duties

You will perform a selected range of duties including maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, repair, installation, and/or modification of LMR/E-LMR systems. You will remove, disassembles and replaces/repairs defective parts/assemblies. You will monitors systems operation by following standard operating and testing procedures; identifies and reports improper operating functions to the supervisor. You will research, read, interpret and confer with the supervisor before applying specifications, schematics and procedures to work orders and assignments. You will creates/modifies/updates/retrieves and applies programs while maintaining logs, databases. spreadsheets,. reports and while performing diagnostic testing.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • The Employee may be recalled to duty outside normal scheduled hours.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • The Employee must be willing and able to apply for, qualify for, and maintain a government driver's license to operate a government vehicle.
  • This position requires which requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: servicing first line telecommunications specialist to, troubleshoot, assess, repair, install, move and maintain radio and related electronics equipment.
