The position serves as lead of the Professional Development Office in the Administration Branch, Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division (EFLHD), Federal Lands Highway (FLH), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Department of Transportation (DOT) located in Ashburn, VA. The incumbent is responsible for communication and coordination with Office of Human Resources and providing administrative support to EFL staff on personnel areas, including performance appraisal and processing awards.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade.
To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12 and it must include:
Experience mentoring and leading a staff to develop strategies for maintaining a strong customer service orientation which provides quality service in a timely manner. This includes experience identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among team members.
Providing administrative and liaison support to management regarding classification, position management, reorganizations, functional changes, personnel changes, and/or workforce planning.
Experience utilizing automated personnel systems and providing guidance to customers and management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
