This position is located at Sacred Oaks Healing Center, Youth Regional Treatment Centers (YRTC) in Davis, CA. The YRTCs provide residential substance abuse and alcohol treatment to eligible American Indian and Alaska Native youth and help California tribal youth find healthy directions in life. The purpose of the position is to provide administrative and support duties for all facility programs. Incumbent reports directly to the Administrative Officer.
Duties
Serves as administrative support to the Health Systems Administrator and the Administrative Officer. Handles calls and vendors, visitors, and the general public, providing information, instructions, or answering questions, referring to staff members and forwarding to the supervisor only those calls or visitors requiring his/her attention. Maintains the appointment schedule Health Systems Administrator making final commitments, referring matters to staff members when appropriate, and advising of appointments and other commitments which might have a bearing on future decisions. Arranges travel using the GovTrip system. Arranges visit schedules, secures travel and hotel reservations, and prepares all travel documentation. Performs a variety of administrative functions including mail management, acquisition of supplies, maintenance and other services, initiation of personnel and training actions and other administrative procedures and requirements.
Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
GS-06: Creating a variety of correspondence in proper formats using word processing programs; maintaining manual and electronic calendars to add, delete, or change meetings; serving as a receptionist or point-of-contact for an office; performing data entry into an automated timekeeping system, and prepare travel arrangement for staff.
GS-07: Performing technical administrative tasks in the areas of correspondence management, office automation, data collection, and tracking information; maintaining project financial records; managing calendars and meeting schedules for higher level staff; serving as Point of Contact for an organizational unit; arranging, preparing, and submitting obligations for travel orders and vouchers; serving as a timekeeper; and performing specialized office tasks in support of a unit including screening training requests and ordering supplies through official channels.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
