The primary purpose of this position is to Primary cybersecurity interface to CO/WS information system owners, program managers and their cybersecurity staffs. Provides cybersecurity metrics to AO including Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).

Duties
Performs analysis of intelligence systems to ensure security controls adequately protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information being processed.
Evaluates the application of emerging technologies supporting intelligence and information operations ensuring compatibility and interoperability with other ACC, Air Force, and DOD systems.
Develops policy, guidance, and required plans for the introduction of new information technology standards, hardware, and software into the CO/WS enterprise.
Participation in infrastructure assessments. Communications lead in infrastructure assessment teams providing technical and systems guidance to CO/WS enterprise units.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information.
- Involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing

- Defense Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) is a condition of employment. Each DCWF code has been evaluated at an Advanced level. The member must meet the appropriate foundational and resident qualification requirements.
- The incumbent of this position must achieve the foundational qualifications within 9 months of assignment of this duty and must achieve the resident qualifications within 12 months of assignment of their duties.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the quality experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Information Technology (IT) Management Series, 2210 (Alternative A).
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation, such as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments; or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of capabilities and requirements analysis. Familiarity with Air Force cyber weapons systems, their role, and technical requirements.
2. Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk), to include Risk Management Framework and familiarity with Authority to Operate (ATO), Interconnection Security Agreements (ISA), and Authorizing Official (AO) constructs.
3. Knowledge of a full range of IT cybersecurity principles, A&A implementation, concepts, practices, products, services, and methods for evaluating risk and vulnerabilities. Awareness of NIST Framework and relevant DoD Instructions, USCYBERCOM standards, and Air Force regulations.
4. Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities, to include familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Matrix, Cyber Kill Chain, vulnerability management, and Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).
5. Knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses, to include ability to assess and document predicted impact of sub-standard cybersecurity practices. Familiar with cyber mitigation/remediation.
6. Knowledge of cloud computing deployment models in private, public, and hybrid environment and the difference between on-premises and off-premises environments as well as cloud computing service models Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS). Knowledge of the full range of IT security principles, concepts, practices, products, and services (including systems software, database software, immediate access storage technology), and methods for evaluating risk and vulnerability, implementing mitigating improvement, and disseminating IT security tools and procedures.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
