Duties
You will provide V-22 technical advice and assistance on the acceptance, installation, operation and maintenance of assigned electrical systems and equipment.
You will prepare lesson plans, design training aids and conduct classes to V-22 personnel within your technical cognizance.
You will advise V-22 technicians on methods of resolving troubleshooting problems and repairing difficult aviation system malfunctions.
You will propose changes, additions and recommendations for improvement of weapon systems and their support equipment and associated logistics issues.
You will identify product support deficiencies at the customer level and provide feedback to management and integrated program teams charged with life cycle support of assigned aircraft.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing field engineering and technical advice, assistance, and instruction in support of naval aviation V-22 Electrical systems, equipment, and/or support equipment to include, but not limited to Power Drive Generation, Power Distribution, Inertial Navigation, Flight Controls, Aircraft Instruments, Lighting, Turboshaft Engines, Fuel, Air Data Computers, and Wire Repair. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Providing technical advice and assistance on the acceptance, installation, operation, and/or maintenance of AC/DC Power Distribution, Inverters/Generators, and, all interfacing electrical systems and related test equipment); 2) Analyzing and resolving problems on aviation systems and making recommendations for corrective actions; 3) Applying experience in operation, maintenance, and installation to provide instruction on assigned systems with in-depth understanding of logistic elements associated with these systems; 4) Utilizing technical expertise to prepare lesson plans, design training aids and conduct technical training; and 5) Reading, interpreting and determining the technical validity of blueprints, schematics, work orders, engineering change orders, and technical literature, technical manuals.

You have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in field related to this Equipment Specialist position.

You have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree related to the Equipment Specialist position being filled.
Or
