About the Position: This position is located at US Army Recruiting Command, G3/5 Operations and Plans Directorate, Enlistment Elig and Proc Division, Accessions Suitability Branch, Fort Knox, KY.
Duties
Responsible for all security clearances required by specific Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).
Utilize a variety of electronic methods for processing initial entry submission to the appropriate investigative agency.
Responsible for the approval or rejection of all applicant requests clearance eligibility.
Makes determination to accept or reject applicants for further processing.
Ensure all Soldiers are processed fully and accurately.
Prepare documentation to obtain security clearance from granting agencies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May require abnormal work hours to support the completion of the mission which may include extended hour and Saturday support.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) required 5%
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves utilizing a personal computer to produce a variety of documents in different formats and to revise/update personnel security databases; applying personnel security directives, regulations, precedents, guidelines and procedures to complete clearance paperwork; making security clearance determinations after completing a personal subject interview. This definition of experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service, GS-05.
