About the Position: This position is assigned to the HQ USAREC, G-3, Enlistment Eligibility and Processing Division (EEPD), Accessions Suitability Branch.
Duties
Central point of contact for the Command for all background checks for Army/Army Reserve applicants.
Utilizes a variety of electronic methods for processing initial entry submissions to the appropriate investigative agency.
Retrieve required pre-enlistment background checks, to include fingerprint checks from the Federal Bureau of
Investigations.
Assists each Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) as the central point of contact with the retrieval of the required
post-enlistment fingerprint check results.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The employee must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
- The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include overtime, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) utilizing a personal computer to produce a variety of documents in different formats and to revise/update personnel security databases; 2) applying personnel security directives, regulations, precedents, guidelines and procedures to complete clearance paperwork; 3) gather personnel security information to verify suitability of incoming personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
