About the Position: responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and integrating TMDE calibration and repair support operations. As a key multi-functional logistics staff officer and subject matter expert (SME), provides direction and staff level oversight of support operations dispersed throughout the USATA area of support (AOS). This position is located in TMDE ACTIVITY, MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS DIR, OPERATIONS AND PLANS DIVISION, REDSTONE ARSENAL, AL 35898.
Duties
Apply analytical and evaluative methods/techniques concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of TMDE sustainment support operations.
Identify problems and develop courses of action for problem resolution; determine impact on the organization’s operational mission.
Lead teams or work groups; present findings and recommendations, along with negotiating with stakeholders to overcome opposition to controversial recommendations, and resolve disputes.
Express facts and ideas in a succinct and organized written manner.
Develop, coordinate, and implement improved support concepts and improve upon the readiness partnership with other TMDE C and RS providers.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes (1) planning, developing, coordinating, and integrating Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) calibration and repair support operations; (2) facilitating multifunctional integrated product team (IPT) meetings to set IPT goals and objectives, develops strategies, evaluates customer needs, reengineers team processes, evaluates customer satisfaction and team performance; (3) Review, analyze and evaluate contingency and mobilization plans.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
