About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army Intelligence and Security Command, Security Resiliency Activity ACOFS, G-2 located in Fort Belvoir, VA.

Duties

Analyze Security and Insider Threat activity on behalf of the Army Insider Threat (InT) Division, Assistant Chief of Staff, G-2, US Army Intelligence and Security Command. Identify trends within InT triggers received from multiple sources, to include but not limited to User Activity Monitoring (UAM), Counterintelligence (CI), and security in the furtherance of program development. Monitors security-related InT triggers on behalf of the Department of the Army. Assist in the interpretation of security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
• This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program. (See additional information).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• TDY Travel may be required approximately 20% or more of the time.
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Security Administration (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above.
