You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN in the NATRACOM MAINTENANCE AND CONTRACT MANAGEMENT DET of NATC CORPUS CHRISTI.

Duties

You will carry out and coordinate all clerical and day-to-day administrative support activities of the Detachment. You will maintain subject matter files and records. Set up and maintain logs showing the status of actions and correspondence. Ensure that files include required documents and that all documents are properly assigned. You will receive visitor and telephone calls to the detachment; determine the nature of the requests and direct callers to the appropriate detachment personnel. You will respond to routine and non-technical requests for information such as status of report suspense dates for matters requiring compliance, and similar information readily available from files. You will Makes necessary arrangements for travel, to include arranging schedule of visits, making reservations, notifying organizations and officials to be visited, preparing orders in DTS, submitting travel vouchers and reports. You will compose complex but non-technical correspondence.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Carrying out and coordinating clerical and administrative support activities for an organization.
