You will serve as a Non Nuclear Continuing and Training Development Coordinator in the Electrical/Electronics Shop (Code 950), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will participate in developing, initiating, scheduling, and implementing programs for the development of personnel through Continuing Training and Development Program.
You will coordinate the keeping of shop/code training plans current, and check them for adequacy.
You will spot audit shops trade theory/core tasks records and qualification records for conformance with guidelines.
You will coordinate the procurement, storage, and use of instructional materials and textbooks, audio visual aids, and training devices, and laboratory equipment.
You will identify material costs expended by each fiscal year for overhead expenditures/labor expenditures on a monthly basis.
You will maintain a comprehensive electronic file of Mechanic Training Folders to include training taken, attribute sheets, date started, date completed, proficiency rating for the course.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience establishing metrics to identify material costs expended by each FY.
Experience conducting audits of shop trade theory/core tasks records and qualifications records.
Experience performing tasks applying a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning equipment facility, or services operations with complicated technical requirements.
