About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
Position may be filled by Temporary Promotion not to exceed 1 year.
Temporary Promotion may be extended up to a maximum of 5 years.
Temporary Promotion may be made Permanent without further competition.
Duties
Maintain production reports and records according to established guidelines.
Assure that equal opportunity programs are implemented to accomplish equal employment opportunity goals according to Army regulations
Work with appropriate technical staff and directorate personnel concerning hazardous material and waste information.
Counsel employees on problems and adjust informal complaints through discussion union representatives.
Initiate proposals for formal disciplinary action as needed according Army regulations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Federal Wage System employees, WG/WL/WS, etc., must satisfactorily complete the appropriate annual Depot Medical Examination.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Painter Supervisor without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common duties by serving as a technical and administrative supervisor in the Finish and Paint Division exercising full supervisory responsibilities. I can plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. I can explain work requirements, methods, and procedures and provide advice when problems arise. In addition, I develop performance standards, counsel's employees on performance, and makes formal and informal performance appraisals.
