You will serve as a Administrative Specialist in the Communications & Networks of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Duties

You will serve as an Administrative Support Specialist Lead with leadership responsibilities assigning, reviewing and providing advanced technical advice the areas of material, and service acquisition and purchasing support. You will review internal procurement/contracting processes to ensure business operations are effective and efficient in order to meet mission requirements. You will assist in creating, producing and submitting assessments of new processes and provide recommendations to the supervisor to improve the utilization of available resources and administrative management services. You will work as a team lead in coordinating required documentation needed for submission of procurement ready packages. You will utilize advanced Information Technology (IT) systems such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning System (N-ERP) and NIWC collaboration tools to support procurements.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

NO-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in reviewing procurement/contracting processes to ensure business operations are effective and efficient in order to meet mission requirements. NO-04 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the Gs-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

NO-03:
master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

NO-04:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
