You will serve as a MILITARY SUPPORT LIAISON REPRESENTATIVE in the NAVFAC WASHINGTON, BUSINESS DIRECTORATE DIVISION of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.

Duties

You will serve as representative for military personnel strength management and administration issues for all military personnel assigned to the operations group. You will use Transaction Online Processing System, and internet-based systems to securely transmit sensitive, personal-private information to servicing PSDs such as leave, awards, travel claims, advance pay, travel/per diem, etc. You will input and updates information on all military personnel in Command's databases and maintains accuracy. You will operate computers and copying machines, writes official letters and reports, maintains all enlisted and officer electronic service records in accordance with all directives and Navy filing systems. You will provide administrative assistance to the Commanding Officer.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Having Military experience in an Administrative Office; 2) Processing all pay and personnel transactions regarding Permanent Change of Station (PCS) gains, transfers, retirements, and separations; 3) Reviewing travel claim vouchers for newly gained and Temporary Additional Duty (TDY) personnel to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to submission to PSD for reimbursement; 4) Inputting and updating information on all military personnel in Command's databases and maintains accuracy; and 5) Updating and maintaining TWMS information as new personnel, military or DOD civilian.
