About the Position: The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the principal secretary (office automation) performing various administrative and clerical duties in support of the organization. This position is located at Peterson AFB, Medical Squadron Command.
Duties
Prepare, review, and finalize a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring correspondence, reports, and other documents prepared by others in handwritten or electronic drafts.
Receive telephone calls, greet visitors, and ascertain the nature of the calls or visits.
Schedule appointments and meetings without prior approval in accordance with supervisor's policies and priorities
Attend meetings, record minutes and actions considered by committee ensuring minutes are prepared and distributed in a timely manner.
Responsible for coordinating the work of the office with other offices and organizations recognizing what coordination procedures are required for different circumstances.
Establish, update, and maintain office procedures and records of various types that may be needed or will assist in the efficient operation of the office.
Makes travel arrangements.
Requirements
- Mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination required and is therefore subject to annual influenza vaccination.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience within the Federal Service equivalent to the GS-05 level which includes documented experience in: 1) performing clerical duties such as schedule appointments, drafting and filing reports and documents, 2) Reviewing documents for accuracy and corrections; 3) maintaining calendar meeting for the supervisor and other scheduled meetings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
A qualified typist is required.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
