The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the principal office administrator, performing various administrative, managerial, and clerical duties in support of Space Delta 7. Performs office automation duties using multiple automated programs and software including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, timekeeping.
Duties
Duty 1: Prepares a wide variety of administrative, clerical, and managerial work in support of the Commander, and supports the administrative operations to ensure the most efficient and effective support is provided to the Commander and staff.
Duty 2: Manages the operational schedule and long-range calendar of the Commander. Exercises control over the Commander's appointments with authority for commitment of time
Duty 3: Uses multiple office automation software and varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing, and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets.
Duty 4: Provides the Commander with data and information for making decisions on the daily administrative aspects of the Delta's operations and management

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. A favorable suitability determination is required before appointment.

- Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments
- Work is mostly sedentary; offices are adequately lighted, heated,
and ventilated. Incumbent may be required to stand during presentations, and to be capable of other physical requirements
normally associated with work.

Qualifications
This is a GG-08 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-08 duties for the "Technical/Administrative" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-08 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of standardized rules, procedures, or operations to perform the full range of administrative and clerical assignments and resolve reoccurring problems of the office, such as preparing and editing documents; maintaining Commander files/records; making and preparing travel arrangements; locating, assembling, and composing information for various reports, inquiries, and nontechnical correspondence; and procedures to oversee control, handlining, and processing classified material; of the Intelligence Community sufficient to understand general relationships to the activity, office functions, and commitments of the Delta's and FIELDCOM principals to prepare and review correspondence, to screen telephone calls and visitors, to maintain the calendar, and to perform other substantive or administrative work of the organization; correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to prepare and edit written correspondence and reports; knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and technical support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as memorandums, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs; and expertise with multiple information systems required to manage the Delta's administrative functions; Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required, ability to communicate effectively. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
