This vacancy is for a Program Analyst in the International Trade Administration, Office of Enforcement & Compliance, within the Department of Commerce.
Duties
As a Program Analyst, you will perform the following duties:
Plan and coordinate the implementation of facility renovation projects, i.e., identify project phases, develop design and documents using AutoCAD or similar software and provide recommendations for schematic space and furniture layouts.
Serve as subject-matter-expert on a variety of administrative systems by providing technical guidance to customers.
Liaise with contractors and vendors who perform structural, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and furniture work.
Identify, evaluate, and engage in the resolution of space management problems to advance the construction and functional improvement of office space.
Provide briefings, reports, and consultative guidance to senior officials relative to space planning and logistics; and analyze management information requirements.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS12 level, in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:
Experience using quantitative/qualitative methodologies to analyze and evaluate processes, procedures and/or program operations related to space planning and logistics.
Experience developing reports, spreadsheets, and analyses into cohesive work products that serve as a basis for new administrative systems or procedures.
Experience providing guidance and recommendations to management relative to process improvements, policies and/or Federal regulations.
Experience providing customer service relative to administrative systems.
