This position is located in Budget Planning and Development Section, Fiscal Operations Branch (FOB), Asset Logistics Division (ALD), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) Located in Baltimore, MD.
Duties
The incumbent serves as Chief, Budget Planning and Development Section, Fiscal Operations Branch (FOB), Asset Logistics Division (ALD), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC). The incumbent directs all budget planning and development efforts in two separate Coast Guard financial systems for the SFLC, the Coast Guard’s largest logistical center with an annual budget of $650M across multiple appropriations and a $1.1B supply inventory.

Qualifications
TO QUALIFY FOR GS-14: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience for this position is defined as:
- Experience with planning, developing, distributing, monitoring, overseeing, and reporting on an annual budget in excess of $500 million from multiple appropriations sources and in multiple financial systems.
- Experience gathering and consolidating budgetary information, analyses, and reports to prepare and submit budget reporting material for executive level decision making.
- Experience with leading, supervising, and directing the work of other staff members.
- Experience with analyzing, preparing, and presenting on financial planning and budget development, operations, and issues.
- Experience with communicating with customers and stakeholders throughout the organization to provide guidance on budget and business processes and maintain awareness of resourcing needs.
