About the Position: The Budget Officer is responsible for administering the overall annual operating budget development and execution process for a complex multi-billion-dollar annual budget of multiple directorates. The incumbent is responsible for the development and communication of annual budget development guidance for both initial and mid-year updates to assure compliance with published regional overhead rate guidelines.

Duties

Develop, execute, and monitor district's operating budget and cost estimates. Analyze data, review business component activity and brief senior leaders. Develop regional reports, troubleshoot EDW report issues. Identify areas of concern and improvement, work with district team members to resolve.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The duties of this position require travel up to approximately 10% of the time.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • The duties of this position require a Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450.
