The primary purpose of this position is to serve as primary Risk Identification and Security Countermeasures (RISC) analyst responsible to perform in-depth research using classified and open-source databases to profile known and unknown risks to AFRL/AFOSR assets.
Duties
Serves as primary Risk Identification and Security Countermeasures (RISC) analyst responsible to perform in-depth research using classified and open-source databases to profile known and unknown risks to AFRL/AFOSR assets.
Conducts risk-based security review assessments, examines aggregated intelligence/counterintelligence data, and presents risk review findings to appropriate AFRL/AFOSR personnel to aid in risk-informed decision making by Directorate leadership and science and technology (S&T) subject matter experts (SMEs).
Increases all-source research/analytics skills through formalized trainings and engages with AFRL Enterprise RISC analysts to ensure consistent and holistic risk review capabilities.
Liaises with S&T Protection functional leads to develop and implement countermeasures for the protection of the AFRL/AFOSR portfolios from espionage, terrorism, intellectual property theft, and other identified threats to National Security.
Develops metrics based on aggregated data to provide to leadership based on risk identification across the portfolios. The RISC analyst also provides and develops threat awareness training and education to the Directorate.

- The duty location for this position is located at Wright Patterson AFB
- Random drug testing may be required depending upon the position being filled.
- This position requires the following certifications IAW with AFI 36-2645: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC).

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one (1) year or 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to D0-01 (GS-11) in the Federal service or equivalent in an alternate pay system. Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
