About the Position: This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center is the Army's technology leader and largest technology developer. DEVCOM AC ensures the dominance of Army capabilities by creating, integrating and delivering technology-enabled solutions to our Soldiers. DEVCOM AC is a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Futures Command
Duties
Monitor and perform detailed analyses of program progress and utilization of resources.
Develop and maintain databases that contain program data, funding data, delivery dates, and other key pertinent information as required.
Evaluate policies, procedures and regulations for applicability and compliance to assigned programs.
Formulate and coordinate input to planning documents, e.g. Business Plans, Strategic Plans
Skill in using the basic techniques of the specialized field and ability to interpret, select, adapt and apply many guidelines, precedents, principles and practices, which relate to the administrative specialty area.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Business travel is required up to 25%
- Moving expenses are not authorized for this position.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R
- Three-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management Practitioner Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) knowledge of demilitarization operations strategic planning and oversight 2) evaluating programs to determine efficiency and effectiveness 3) Formulating and coordinating input to demilitarization execution planning documents and reports 4) Planning and organizing work to support strategic plans at the enterprise level. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
