You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Advanced Traceability and Control (ATAC) of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will utilize a thorough knowledge of supply and transportation regulations/policies to perform continuing assignments preparing recurring and special reports.
You will compile statistics from data requiring analysis to take corrective action of transactions.
You will exercise authority to approve or deny transportation financial payments up to and including $300K within one transaction.
You will conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for information and extracts to assemble data from numerous files and other records.
You will compile statistical status and other supply/transportation information to validate transportation consolidation are being accomplished and delivery times are met.
You will ensure accessorial charges billed by the carrier are authorized and properly billed.
You will serve as the Aircraft/Surface engine Transportation Manager to coordinate engine movements worldwide for East and West aviation and surface Type Commanders (TYCOM).

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-06) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have at least one year of specialized Supply Technician experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service utilizing a thorough knowledge of supply and transportation regulations/policies to perform continuing assignments preparing recurring and special reports and compiling statistics from data requiring analysis to take corrective action of transactions. Specific work experience must demonstrate the following duties: 1) Conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for information to reconstruct records for supply/transportation transactions; 2) Ensures all appropriate documentation is created properly and available for the appropriate (Import/Export) Customs, Shipping labels, AGRs (American Goods Returns, and HAZMAT Certification when required). 3) Provide supply/transportation operations support pertaining to specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts to include engines, Ground Marine Support, or Contractor Support requiring different modes of shipment within specific time frames; 4) Determine transportation needed for expedited items based on pickup and delivery location destinations; and 5) Conduct extensive and exhaustive research of databases to locate the most cost effective carriers and shipping lanes for on-time delivery
