You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Installation Support Department (Code 400) of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will perform technical screening on all requested materials to ensure materials meet customer requirements as well as ensuring materials are environmentally compliant.
You will submit requisitions to any/all sources of supply to include DLA, GSA, and Local Vendors.
You will produce reports by spreadsheet, word document, or presentation.
You will perform administrative functions for the Department Director to include purchase card procurements, minor property administration, manage staff office supplies, correspondence preparation.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-06 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing complex supply support work which requires the application of thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures and instructions relating to the handling of hazards associated with the types of hazmat stored aboard ships and non-industrial activities. I have experience resolving both recurring and non-recurring issues related to supply requisitions, inventory management, database analysis, technical research, customer service and/or procurement. Examples of specialized experience may include some or all of the following: 1) Perform technical screening on all requested materials to ensure hazmat materials meet customer requirements as well as ensuring materials are environmentally compliant; 2) Submit requisitions to any/all sources of supply to include local government agencies and vendors; 3) Interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in the database to determine labeling that meets the minimum requirements of the regulations; 4) Use Navy ERP applications, to manage hazardous materials; 5) Apply HAZMAT storage requirements, labeling programs, storage compatibility, shelf-life procedures and/or safety regulations handling hazardous material; 6) Maintain the Navy ERP database for automated inventory records and the collection of data for the preparation of reports and spreadsheets.
